Here is the first one:
Be thankful...for EVERYTHING! Even your trials, no matter how big or small they may be. Years ago, our family pet dog got hit by a car. He was a really dumb dog...the car didn't run into him, he ran into the car. Anyway, I was really down about it so I talked to my mom and she told me that whenever I was feeling down, to think of three things that I am thankful for. I tried it and it actually works! Thanks mom. I still use this method today and it still holds true.

Hey! This reminds me of that Soak Up the Sun song: "It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got..." and being grateful for it!! :)
